welcome!

Christ did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life for all. He then commissioned His church to do the same. We are Christ's Church of Connersville.

We are a congregation made up of ordinary people who endure the same conflicts as our neighbors in the community, but we strive to persevere through our fellowship and eternal hope in Christ Jesus. The apostle Paul encouraged the church to be of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in Spirit, and intent on one purpose. It is by this unity that is described here that fires our conviction to serve and love our neighbors in the town of Connersville.

Have you ever had questions about Christianity? Other religions? What is the Bible really about? Who really was Jesus Christ? Why do people devote time to the church? What can it do for me?

We would love the opportunity to answer these questions in a way that is most comfortable for you.

Sunday Morning Assemblies

Our assembly begins with Bible study classes for all ages. Our adult class normally strives to dive a little deeper during this time to increase our knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. On the first Sunday of the month, we split up our Bible study class into men and women for gender-specific study of the scriptures and various topics (e.g. studying being a good father/mother, husband/wife, etc.)

Sunday Evening Lessons

Our Sunday evening assemblies are an hour in length and consist of fellowship, the Lord's Supper, song service, prayer, and a time of Bible study that is taught by one of the men of the congregation. We strive to make this time an interactive, yet educational study time. Currently, we are studying Bible Basics, and soon will be starting a study of archeological evidence of Bible history.

Sunday Evening Fellowships

On the last Sunday evening of each month, we set aside the evening for a time of Christian love and fellowship normally having pizza brought in or having a pitch-in meal. We encourage guests to come and partake in the fellowship and food. We end the evening with the Lord's Supper and sometimes a short unity exercise/game that is designed to increase our knowledge and awareness of one anothers lives.

And if you belong to Christ, you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise. ~Galatians 3:29~

Heir Force is the name of our youth group at Christ’s Church of Connersville. The youth group is led primarily by husband and wife, James and Larissa Buhler, along with Jeff Eckerle. Many others in the congregation also volunteer when more adult help is needed.

We have youth group every Sunday evening from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. This is a time when we divide into classes by age. Grades K-3 are taught by Tina Smith, 4th-6th are taught by Larissa Buhler, and 7th-12th are taught by James Buhler. Each class has a Bible lesson, which is followed by snacks and fellowship as a whole group. The last Sunday of each month, Jeff Eckerle leads a game/activity night instead of the class time.

In addition to the youth group time, we get together for other activities. One of our most popular is “Destination Unknown”. This is where the kids do not know where we are going until we get to our “destination”! In the past we have gone to corn mazes, the movies, hayrides, and we have even gone to the city pool (we secretly got their swimsuits from their parents ahead of time). Other activites that we have done that are not “destination unknowns” have been King’s Island (for the older youth), a place with big blow-up slides/obstacle courses (for the younger youth), lock-ins, and progressive dinners, to name a few.

The kids also do service projects for others in the congregation occasionally, such as raking leaves, mowing lawns, washing windows/cars, and even organizing banquets and serving meals to the adults.

We have a lot of fun in the Heir Force, and would love to have you join us! It is a great time of learning about God and making friendships that will last a lifetime!!
